It’s no secret that Drivin’ N Cryin’ are R.E.M. fans. The tales of Pete and Kevn alone are enough to warrant a book or two. So when DNC decided to make a song called “REM,” it just made complete sense to get the fans of each band to create a video for it.
DNC is asking interested parties to download a copy of the song from here, upload your music video to Youtube, and then put a link to it on the Drivin’ N Cryin’ facebook page. Each entry will get a free download of the new DNC EP. Just send your email address to kennethjgreen@gmail.com with the subject head REM VIDEO CONTEST ENTRY (along with the link to your video, natch.)
The top 20 vids will be determined by number of “likes” on Facebook and will receive autographed copies of the new cd. The Grand Prize Winner will get 2 tix to any DNC show of their choice (not including travel and hotel), meet and greet with the band, 2 DNC caps, 2 DNC shirts, and a box of funnel cake mix autographed by Kevn Kinney.CONTEST ENDS JUNE 30TH!
