Ah, May is just a few days away. Soon the students will be gone, the sun will be shining, and we’ll all be able to get around town without traffic clogging up College Station Road every day. Now, on to the NEWS!

Kishi Bashi‘s Lighght is streaming in full at NPR. The album is out May 13th. Fortunately for all of us, we’ll get to see our friends at ATHFEST! Woot!

In other of Montreal related news, PureHoney has a chat with Kevin Barnes available on their site. He talks in depth about the recent line-up changes that of Montreal has undergone and how they have changed the band’s direction…

Art Rocks Athens will kickoff this week at the Special Collections Libraries building at UGA. Expect to see stuff from the B-52s, R.E.M., Pylon, Love Tractor, Limbo District… basically anything artsy/music related from 1975-1985. I’ve had the honor of seeing some of the displays going up and they are AMAZING. Really impressive stuff. Event details and times are here.

Speaking of R.E.M., here’s a blurb from Rolling Stone, complete with the devastating version of “The One I Love” from their Unplugged album coming out. And an interview with Mr. Buck, full of wit and mischief as usual.

Wanna know how to play the ukelele? The Athens Clarke County Library now has ukes for you to check out and teach yourself how to play. Definitely an “Athens thing.” Love it.

And last but not least, for those of you fellow Animal Crossing gamers, I’d thought I’d show you this little site that plays the soundtrack from the game in real time. I’ll go ahead and say that “8 p.m.” is the best.
