Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know. It’s not even Thanksgiving yet. Well, friend, it is ALMOST Thanksgiving which means you’d better bah your humbugs now because the holiday season is upon us and you’re just going to have to deal.
AMJHQ is busy preparing for a wedding *yay* but we wanted to take some time and point everyone toward a bunch of cool holiday offerings both musical and non that you and yours can take advantage of this year. Get yourself vaccinated and grab a cup o’ hot chocolate because we’re going to be MERRY and BRIGHT.
First up is a really cool offering from the State Botanical Garden of Georgia called the Winter Wonderlights. Starting December 1st, the “inaugural walk-through light show extravaganza features 11 illuminated displays along a half-mile path that is certain to delight and inspire. Meander with your family and friends and create magical memories among twinkling displays, colorful decorations and a mesmerizing multi-colored light tunnel.“ I’ve seen in progress photos and they’re really neat.
Next up is the Ho Ho Ho Down X at Southern Brewing Co. on December 10th. For just $20, you get Susto, The Pink Stones, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, Convict Julie, and Wes Da Ruler. It’s a great deal and a fun time for all.
Then on December 16th, 17th, and 18th, you have The Good Grief Trio performing “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and “Kind Of Blue”. I have enjoyed this every year and boy do I need to go see it this year as well. I’m a Snoopy person anyway but Hendershot and Co. do a phenomenal job with this. GO.
And last, but not least, The Downtown Parade of Lights. Folks, I was miserable not being able to see the parade last year. But it’s back! December 2nd! Come join us!
