I’m not entirely sure that it is almost March. I know I’ve said that a lot lately but I think I stopped keeping up with time somewhere in 2020 and just can’t get back on it. Anywho, here’s what’s up as of late.
Hendershot‘s has a new Athens Music Trivia night coming up on Wednesday, March 9th. There’s a LOT that this could cover so even if you don’t want to participate you will be able to learn some neat facts about this here music town.
Usually I am loathe to ask people to donate to UGA but I will make a large exception for anything spawning from AthensGAWeather. Y’all may remember AGW started around the same time as this blog but unlike this blog it provides a desperately needed service. After Matt left, he gifted AGW to UGA’s Atmospheric Sciences Program. Here’s a great story about the DIY venue Red Line out on Winterville Road. It’s a good read and I’d highly recommend heading out that way to catch a show.
Patrick Ferguson, he of Nuci’s and Five Eight and so much else fame, is now on tour with Gang of Four as their guitar and drum tech. If you, like I, are in need of a good throw down, maybe go see GoF and Pylon Reenactment Society later this month in ATL!
