On July 22, the Hargrett Library will open “Georgia on My Mind: Finding Belonging in Music” an exhibition that explores the state’s music history. They are inviting members of the Athens community to loan items from their own music collection to be displayed in a community curated gallery. Says the press release: “We are looking for items that tell a story about music and you: a ticket stub from the first concert you attended, a photograph of the time you met your favorite performer, or a flyer advertising your first time on stage. Submit an item that connects you to music history, in Georgia or beyond.” The deadline to submit items is Friday, July 15, 2022. For more info visit https://t.uga.edu/87V

Elephant Six fans will want to mark their calendars for this event: author Adam Clair will be doing a reading of his book Endless, Endless and then sit for a Q&A with Henry Owings. Shortly after that, Will Hart and other E6 crew will perform. Flyer with the details below
